Increase Energy and Performance

Energy is a function of mitochondrial health. When mitochondria are infected with stealth bacteria, an individual can feel mentally and physically frustrated and fatigued. The makers of energy drinks claim their drinks deliver energy, but in fact, what they deliver are dangerous doses of caffeine and other supplements that rev up heart rate and metabolism temporarily. Although a jolt of energy may seem like a good solution, this boost in heart rate can bring on jitteriness and edginess. Plus, having an energy drink every day might lead to more addictive forms of “short term energy”. Prescription and non-prescription drugs.

The eight most abused prescripton drugs include stimulants, opioids, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, sleep medications, anabolic steroids, muscle relaxers and Fentanyl. Every year millions of deaths are attributed to these medications while not ever really addressing the energy deficit happening at the cellular level.

One of the most common patient/client complaints in clinical practice is fatigue — a feeling of tiredness and lack of energy. Most people feel some degree of fatigue at some point in their lives, particularly when their energy levels seem to fall short on a regular basis. The concern about fatigue becomes more pronounced as people grow older for a number of reasons.

Medical causes of fatigue include anemia, sleep disorders, depression, thyroid problems, chronic pain, inflammatory disorders, cancer, chronic fatigue and chronic infections. All of these causes have an underlying mitochondrial dysfunction that has been studied in-depth.

Since mitochondrial function is at the very heart of everything that occurs in the body, optimizing mitochondrial function – and preventing mitochondrial dysfunction by making sure you get all the right nutrients and precursors your mitochondria need – is extremely important for health and disease prevention. When mitochondria are not functioning, the domino effect can lead to disease and chronic disability. Energy drinks and prescription drugs are not designed to address the core cause of low energy.

Mitochondrial impairment and cellular dysfunction determine tissue physiological function. Tissues, such as brain and brain areas that have a slow turnover for their mitochondria and mitochondrial components, are driven to a physiological deficit, especially if they are unhealthy and unable to renew or replace themselves.

Aged, infected and damaged mitochondria show a selective diminished activity of the enzymes important for energy. Only BXprotocol can address the subcellular causes of low energy and decreases cellular and physical performance. Returning cells and mitochondria to optimal health results in restoration and optimization of all the body’s energy systems coordinating efforts to maximize energy and performance.
